Using Blogger’s Template HTML editor

This is part 3 of our 10-part series on Designing in Blogger.

Coding is FUN!  I love to code … but it wasn’t always like that.  When I first started in blog design, I was scared of code!  Then I learned how easy it actually is … especially in Blogger!  In this tutorial I’m going to teach you about using Blogger’s template HTML editor.

Even if you’ve never coded before … this is perfect for you!  Blogger is the perfect place to start and learn to code, as it really is fool-proof!  The HTML editor comes with a super handy dandy preview button.  Use this button lots as it will tell you if the code you’ve entered is good … or if you’ve made a mistake. If there’s something that’s not quite right, it will tell you what the mistake is so you can go back and edit.

So do not fear code.  Embrace it … because with using code you can create a wonderfully unique blog … that’s the perfect place for your home in internet land!

In this tutorial I’m going to be breaking down the HTML editor into 5 sections .. and showing you how to edit each section for your design. We are not yet installing your Photoshop design … that comes in the very next tutorial. But here I am showing you a quick tour of what everything means within the HTML editor.
